Ways of Managing Teeth That Are Sensitive to Cold
Do your teeth hurt when you eat or drink something that is cold? Or when you breathe in through your mouth and the air moves across the surface of the tooth? If your answer is yes, there is good news: there are things you can to do help minimize the discomfort you are experiencing.

For one thing, sometimes a sensitivity to temperature can be the result of weakened enamel. The good news is that you can address this by regularly using a fluoride rinse to help remineralize your enamel.
Another common cause of cold sensitivity is overly vigorous brushing. If you brush too hard, it can cause your gum tissue to pull back, exposing sensitive tooth surfaces. So use a brush with soft (not firm) bristles, and you may be able to prevent the condition from worsening.
